Minor roof top repairs and siliconing

RATES VARY For Eaves Trough Cleaning and Minor Roof Top Repairs. A Quote will be provided upon visual inspection

Animal and Blockage Removal

It is not uncommon for a chimney to become blocked. This may be caused by loose masonry and other debris, but blockages are most commonly caused by animals making a home of your chimney; be it squirrels or birds. Clearing a blockage generally takes more time, a lot of work and requires various chimney tools. We clear blockages and animal nests every year. This is most common in the spring, but can happen at any time.

A QUOTE WILL BE PROVIDED UPON VISUAL INSPECTION

WOOD BURNING SYSTEM INSPECTIONS

Inspections for wood-burning systems (fireplaces, chimneys, wood-burning stoves) are conducted for a variety of reasons. Typically they are conducted for insurance purposes, for real estate transactions or to investigate a concern with the way the system is functioning. We offer a basic inspection with every service but if your insurance company or realtor requires a more thorough inspection we offer two levels of inspection that will be performed by WETT certified Inspectors.

WETT Level 1 INSPECTION Report

A WETT certified Inspector, Technician or Chimney Sweep will inspect the “Readily Accessible” parts of your wood burning system

You will receive an inspection report detailing:

  • The areas in which the installation meets or does not meet the requirements of the manufacturer’s installation instructions and the appropriate codes.
  • Information which includes appliance type, certification markings, clearances and whether the installation meets the relevant codes.

*Readily Accessible can be described as quickly or easily reached for inspection. It would not require the use of special tools for opening or the removal of any panel, door or other covering; nor would it require the use of ladders. A tape measure, light, mirror, hammer, camera, magnifying glass and binoculars shall comprise the usual tools required to perform this type of inspection.

WETT LEVEL 2 INSPECTION Report

A WETT certified Inspector, Technician or Chimney Sweep will inspect the “Accessible” parts of your wood burning system

You will receive an inspection report detailing:

  • The areas in which the installation meets or does not meet the requirements of the manufacturer’s installation instructions and the appropriate codes.
  • Information which includes appliance type, certification markings, clearances and whether the installation meets the relevant codes.
  • More detailed information about the condition of accessible parts of the wood burning system.

*Accessible can be described as being reachable for the purpose of inspection/evaluation, service/maintenance or repair. Access could first require the moving or removal of a panel, door or other covering and could require the use of ladders and common tools such as a screwdriver, wrench, hammer or related service tools/equipment. Access does not require any invasive action to the building or property.

A Note About OUR RATES

Each chimney and fire system is different so we provide a starting rate for each type of service. Upon visual inspection of the chimney and fire system we will provide a specific quote.

Some of the things that can increase the rate for your specific chimney and fire system are:

  • Length of the chimney
  • Bends in the chimney system
  • Existing damage to chimney system or fire system
  • Amount of time since last maintenance was performed
  • Time of year (Winter Rates apply from November 1 to April 1)
  • Travel distance to location from Golden (We do our best to book services in the same area together to decrease or eliminate this expense for our clients.

I have used Rocky Mountain Chimney sweeps to clean the chimney at my cabin twice now. On both occasions they left the place so clean I wouldn’t have known they’d been there. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rocky Mountain Chimney Sweeps.
